Baby with Parent

18 months+

Excellent!

You’ve selected our classes dedicated to our swimmers from 18 months.

A qualified and experienced instructor will lead the class through gentle progressions teaching you how to handle baby in water. Through nursery rhymes and songs, a fun atmosphere is created making your baby feel happy in the water.

The Small Pool is 33 degrees. That means babies as young as 6 weeks stay warm during their lesson.

Have a look through the classes available and see which one would suit you best. You can then complete the enquiry form and we'll give you a call to sign you up!

FAQ

What should my Baby wear to their swim lessons?

We have a double nappy policy to prevent accidents in the pool, so do require two waterproof Swim Nappies or a Swim Nappy and a Neo Nappy until they are trained. We sell a range of costumes and Neo nappies from our reception area.

Do I need to be able to swim?

No, you don’t, the lesson will teach you how to safely handle your child and introduce them to the joy of swimming and the small pool is only 0.5 metres deep

How much would it cost after my initial free month?

Our membership fee is £41.60 a month and is paid by rolling card payments at the start of every month. You'll just need to pay an initial £5 admin fee to set up and for any lessons prior to the first payment.

Is there a viewing gallery?

You can view the small pool lessons from our reception area, where there is a large TV screen. The small teaching pool is not overlooked.

Where are you located?

Our address is Shirley Swimming Pool, Kentish Road, Southampton SO15 3GR. Just off Shirley High Street near McDonalds
